Open and unresolved at publication. ZEEL closed at INR 114.55 on 31 July 2026. The provisional recovery structure had improved, but price had not yet exceeded the INR 118.35 Wave 3 high or entered the decisive INR 129.45-INR 139.21 confirmation zone. No upside objective is counted as achieved.
The primary bullish thesis requires sustained price confirmation together with improving operating and governance evidence. A decline below INR 96.30 would be an early warning, below INR 94.35 would invalidate the provisional impulse count, and below INR 68.00 would invalidate the major-cycle reversal thesis.

Status: Open / In Progress
Research type: Forward-looking structural-reversal study
This 21-page equity-research report evaluates whether ZEEL may be attempting a major-cycle reversal after one of the deepest declines in its listed history.
ZEEL reversal study covering an 89% decline, Elliott/NeoWave structure, INR 129-INR 139 confirmation, Gann timing and FY26 risks.
ZEEL fell 87.85% from its January 2018 monthly close of INR 593.70 to its March 2026 monthly close of INR 72.14. On an intraday basis, the decline from the INR 619 all-time high to the March 2026 low of INR 68.00 measured 89.01%. The report therefore treats the thumbnail's “88% decline” as a rounded monthly-close figure and preserves the separate 89.01% peak-to-trough measurement.
The study is prospective. It does not claim that a permanent bottom has been confirmed or that any upside target has already been achieved. Using market evidence available through the 31 July 2026 close of INR 114.55, it develops a measurable decision framework based on Elliott Wave, a NeoWave compliance audit, Fibonacci relationships, Gann price and time techniques, momentum structure, company fundamentals, capital actions and governance risk.
Technical structure
A provisional five-wave recovery can be mapped from the March low:
Wave 1: INR 68.00 to INR 94.35
Wave 2: correction to INR 81.82
Wave 3: advance to INR 118.35, equal to 1.386 times Wave 1
Wave 4: correction to INR 96.30, without entering Wave 1 price territory
Wave 5: developing, but not confirmed above the Wave 3 high at the evidence cut-off
The structure satisfies the basic price rules of a provisional Elliott impulse through Wave 4. However, a full NeoWave interpretation remains incomplete because pattern maturity, time relationships and post-pattern confirmation are still pending.
Confirmation and invalidation map
INR 118.35: initial structural confirmation
INR 122.65: first Wave 5 equality objective
INR 126.00-INR 126.48: corporate-price and Gann cluster
INR 129.45-INR 139.21: decisive reversal and confluence zone
INR 148.58-INR 155.84: longer-term trend-confirmation zone
INR 180: conditional bullish extension
INR 245-INR 262: conditional stretch zone; not a base-case target
Below INR 96.30: early structural warning
Below INR 94.35: formal invalidation of the provisional impulse count
Below INR 68.00: invalidation of the major-cycle reversal thesis
Fibonacci projections from the Wave 4 low produce INR 122.65, INR 129.82 and INR 138.93. A Gann Square-of-Nine exercise from INR 68 produces INR 126.48, INR 137.97 and INR 149.97. The overlap between independently derived levels is the reason the INR 129-INR 139 region is treated as the primary confirmation zone rather than as an achieved target.
Timing framework
The report identifies 14-16 August, 19-20 September, 10-11 October and 2-11 November 2026 as monitoring clusters. These dates are not guaranteed turning points and have no directional meaning without contemporaneous price confirmation.
Fundamental and corporate context
For FY26, ZEEL reported operating revenue of INR 80,989 million, adjusted EBITDA of INR 7,547 million and an adjusted EBITDA margin of 9.3%. ZEE5 revenue increased 53% year over year to INR 14,888 million, while the adjusted digital business reached breakeven under the company's stated definition. The group also reported INR 27,595 million of cash and other investments.
The improvement is not uniform. Q4 FY26 adjusted EBITDA margin was 6.9%, and the quarter recorded a PAT loss of INR 1,037 million. The study therefore requires operating follow-through before treating technical improvement as a durable business turnaround.
Shareholders approved up to 249,485,563 promoter-group warrants at INR 126 and a new ESOP plan covering up to 37,422,835 options. Full warrant exercise could raise approximately INR 31.44 billion, but the warrant issue alone could increase the share count by 25.97% and dilute existing holders by approximately 20.62%. Including the entire ESOP pool, the calculated existing-holder dilution rises to approximately 23.00%.
The 31 July 2026 SEBI enforcement development adds a material governance-risk discount. Technical confirmation cannot substitute for improved governance, capital allocation and operating execution.
Research verdict
The evidence supports a speculative bullish reversal thesis with improving multi-method confirmation—not a completed reversal verdict.
A sustained move above INR 118.35 would strengthen the short-term structure. Acceptance through INR 126-INR 139 would provide materially stronger evidence. Weekly acceptance above INR 139.21, followed by a successful retest and improving operating and governance evidence, would support the decisive reversal case.
Until those tests occur, ZEEL remains an open research study. No target is classified as achieved, and a later dated audit must evaluate every published confirmation, timing and invalidation condition against subsequent market data.
Outcome summary
