What are Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs)?

by Dr. Gaurav Sinha , Mr. Vinay Kohli  ·  Unit 39 of 100
Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) are fixed-income securities issued by companies to raise capital from investors. Unlike convertible debentures, they cannot be converted into company shares. Investors receive interest payments according to the agreed terms, while the principal amount is generally repaid at maturity. The level of risk depends largely on the financial strength of the issuing company.
